One Direction Make A Promise To Fans That You Have To See!

One Direction and their fans certainly go way, way back, and the dudes are celebrating that special bond with a new track, “History.”

The song is from their forthcoming album, Made In The A.M. (November 13), and it’s a hand-clapping, feel-good track that has 1d singing about everything they have been through — the highs and the lows — and fans that have supported them through it all.

“You and me got a whole lot of history/ We could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen/ You and me got a whole lot of history/ So don’t let it go, we can make some more, we can live forever,” the guys sing.

And fans are clearly picking up on the lyrics that promise this is “not the end,” and that they will “live forever.”

“More than anything, the song is about the way the fans and everyone have created this massive thing — One Direction — over the past five years,” Liam told Entertainment Weekly of the song, which he described as a “modern version” of “You’ve Got A Friend.” “Out of [‘History’] comes a little bit of closure for this chapter of One Direction.”

And if you noticed some extra voices during the chorus of the song, that’s because Niall and producer Julian Bunetta decided to bring some Directioners into the studio to “record the chorus as a crowd vocal.”

WHO are these Directioners and HOW did they get to do that? So jealous! Niall also took to Twitter to say that “History” is one of his favorite songs he’s ever done, and after listening to it, you can certainly understand why.

Louis Tomlinson Has Plans With Simon Cowell To Assemble A ‘Girl Band’

Very soon, we won’t be able to say things like “At the One Direction concert last night…” anymore, since 1D’s planned hiatus begins in March. In that time, we know band members Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne plan to write some material together (probably), which is very exciting and gives us lots of hope for the future.

Louis is also on the cusp of an A&R career as he runs his own label imprint (under Simon Cowell’s Syco label) and has a spot on “The X Factor” as a guest judge lined up. That will bring Louis and Simon back together to put some new talent out there, including potentially a “girl band,” as Louis told “The X Factor”’s Xtra Preview recently.

“I’ve got, like, a little label imprint, so I’m trying to work with that at the moment,” Louis told hosts Melvin Odoom and Rochelle Humes. “I’m lucky enough to be working with Simon. We’ve got a few different projects going on at the moment — one of which [is] we’re actually trying to put a girl band together. Yeah, it’s just really exciting to be involved in the different side of it, the background.”

A 1D-assisted girl group could be exactly what we need to fill the gap when Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall take their break — or, you know, we could just listen to One Direction’s new album, Made In The A.M. (out Nov. 13) on repeat. Or we could do both.

One Direction’s ‘Perfect’ Video Is Here — And It’s Literally Perfect

If you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms… you’re going to love One Direction’s music video for “Perfect.”

Just hours after worrying fans by canceling a concert in Belfast on Tuesday night (Oct. 20) — reportedly due to Liam Payne falling ill — the guys gave Directioners reason to be elated again by dropping the stylish new video.

In the black-and-white clip, we see the four guys separately hanging out in a swanky hotel. There’s DJ Payne-o plugging away on his laptop and getting a tattoo (!!!), Niall Horan playing guitar and putting golf balls into a mug, Louis Tomlinson giving an interview, and Harry Styles trying on jackets and blessing us with this fantastic spin maneuver:

Before long, the guys get together and start messing about — LiLo fans will be especially happy to see Liam and Louis kicking around a soccer (er, sorry, “football”) ball and having a pillow fight. It all culminates with a rooftop performance that’s utterly gorgeous against a nighttime cityscape.
